Blue River South Branch

First visit by Alain Rohr and Bruno Fromento in 2007

Re-visited in Feb 2016 by Jethro Robinson, Dan Clearwater, Rich Tribe, Mal Haskins, and Mike Illingworth

One beautiful pitch into the Blue River Gorge, but only steep stacked boulders behind that pitch. There’s possibly a short section of gorge, but the geology didn’t suggest a decent canyon.

The Blue River gorge is a fearsome place, for elite kayakers only. Best to escape on the TL of the Blue, about 100m downstream of the South Branch.
