Guides

There are a number of companies in NZ that offer guided canyoning trips.

These guided trips are an excellent way for an interested person to have a go at canyoning, with professional supervision and the correct gear.

They are also an excellent way for visiting Canyoners to do a canyon or two in NZ, without having to bring your own gear.

Although some of the Canyons below can be legally accessed by anyone, we strongly recommend that recreational canyoners choose from any of the hundreds of other canyons available in NZ. However, if you are absolutely determined to visit a particular canyon, then contacting the operator ahead of time is the minimum courtesy. The current access status of the commercial canyons are given in brackets.

The Canyon Guiding Companies are listed in Geographical order, from North to South.
