Goldilocks Creek v3a2II* (grade pending until there are enough trip logs)

Highest drop 28m

3.5hrs

Public access

Great introduction to vertical canyoning – low water flow, user friendly features and anchors, and can exit almost anywhere. Best combined with the Wakamarina as your exit to get some jumps and swims. Can also be combined with the other Wakamarina canyons for a full day.

First descent: Dave Ryan, Nick Williamson, Jan 2018.

Thanks to David Ryan for the topo and photos.

The last pitch R6 in goldilocks has changed in the last couple of years, the topo shows a sling on a log in a pool to descend 3 drops. There is now a 2m DC, sling on a tree TL, and the bottom drop now has a fun DC under a big chockstone in the flow. I believe the whole R6 can now be climbed in normal flows.
Times include Wakamarina to doom bridge as descent.

Lovely trip, our 60m rope was 1m or so too short for R4, supposedly 28m. Chur for the topo David!
