Williams Saddle v4a2IV (grade pending until there are enough trip logs)

Recorded here for historical purposes.

“We spotted the last drop when we descended the Mingha gorge 3 weeks back, and yesterday decided to follow it down from the tops. Crossed the river just before the boardwalks begin, and hiked directly up to Williams Saddle tarns. Beech forest provides good terrain, with a number of animal tracks to follow.

The canyon back to the river is dramatic in parts with steep walls, wildlife [saw a fat chamois close by] and smooth bedrock lower down. Low flow but very beautiful geology. A great day out in such an amazing location” Nola Collie

First descent: Nola Collie, James Abbot, Grant Prattley April 2021.
