10/10/23 – an unexpected road closure turned us away from the Takaka hill and into a last minute trip through granity, with fingers that since the previous trip report the anchors had been replaced, had we had no bolting equipment with us. We replaced all the webbing anchors but Unfortunately no, the same old rusty anchors are in the rock and still need replacement. Bolts are corroded and hanger loose so slowly cutting through the bolts. 50/50 as to what was the safer option 14m jump with a dodgy back or using the anchors. We used a meat anchor as a backup for the first down to check the pool.
