The approach has some reasonably thick bush but with GPS it’s not hard to get to the right entry.
There are now bolts on the big pitch, recently someone reported the tree made a loud crack so the bolts are an alternative. The tree still looks ok though.
    Awesome canyon

Fun Canyon! All Anchors are good. Maybe bring some extra webbing to make the 55m abseil more feel safe.

    Beautiful canyon, great day out.

Approach is well described in the book, pretty steep decent to canyon, if you see a small slip on the way down from the 840 contour keep it on your TL and you should arrive pretty close to R1.

For the most part the anchors were good. We replaced some sling that had been getting a bit crusty in the sun. Doesn’t look like its had much traffic this season, lots of mossed up bolts but most stuffs in pretty good condition.

NOTE: R9 Anchor is damaged (one hangers gone and bolts been hammered in) and pretty hard to spot. There is an alternative natural anchor on the TL off a large tree. This makes R8 around 28 meters (possible to scramble across but slippery and consequential so easier to stay on rope). Looks like its been that way for a while but hadn’t seen that change noted anywhere.

    R14 bolts in perfect condition.

Bolts and sling are all good after the last high water events
