It’s arrived! Of the more than 20 canyoning guidebooks I have seen or own, this one easily stands above the rest with its beautiful, approachable, and highly informative layout. The diversity of included canyon types and nationwide spread of canyons is very impressive and guarantees there is something of interest no matter where in New Zealand you live or plan to visit. It’s refreshing to think you have a good handle on the canyons in NZ and then be surprised by some of the hidden gems this book introduces you to. The guidebook includes a 70+ page strong introduction thoroughly covering important topics of didymo, the NZ canyon rating system, anchors, training, weather, ethics, geology, water flow, history, etc. Included is over 450 pages of full-color beta and inspiration. This book is a must for locals, those planning a visit to New Zealand, and even those just looking for some eye-candy to motivate their next adventure outdoors.

If you live in NZ, I suggest you invest in this beautiful publication.
For visiting canyoners from overseas, this is it, NZs guide book! I have just received my copy, it is very impressive, printed in full colour on quality paper. The wait is over and the canyoning is all on.
